White Christmas – (1954)
Director: Michael Curtiz
Starring: Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen Dean Jagger,
This is the definition of a holiday classic. Singing and dancing mixed with a charming story. It takes place at the end of WWII. Two performing officers, Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye), return from war and team up with to performing sisters, Betty Haynes (Rosemary Clooney) and Judy Haynes (Vera-Ellen). When they decide to go to Vermont they discover the lodge that they are performing at is owned by Bob and Phil’s former commander, General Waverly (Dean Jagger), who is having financial difficulties at the time. The four performers decide to help the General and do a performance to help raise money. It’s so nice to go back in time and enjoy a feel good movie and actually have people wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
