Batman, Catwoman, the Penguin and Max Shreck battle through Gotham city under a snowy Christmas blanket. Christmas saturates the film to the point where decorations are used as weapons. This may be one of a very few movies inspired by a comic book that attempts to flirt with the idea of a season based setting. Christmas may represent happiness and relaxation with family and friends; to others like Bruce Wayne, it can be a very cold, dark and depressing time of the year.
