Sea Shepherd & Paul Watson; meet Some of the Eco-Heroes of the 20th Century
Meet some real life – heroes. Peter Jay Brown is one of them. He was also a great friend of Bob Hunter (Greenpeace, Sea Shepherd, CityTV) another Eco-hero. Peter has spent over 30 years devoting his spare time and much of his personal money to work on the high seas as an ECO-TERRORIST. He is a whale-lover, the longest serving crewmember on the Sea Shepherd, and he has travelled the oceans of the world putting himself in great danger to protect their marine life. The merry glint in his eye tells you that this is something he loves and the rewards are immeasurable.
SUCCESSES OF SEA SHEPHERD ACTIVISM:
*Bringing international attention to the loss of whales, sharks, porpoises, seals, dolphins, coral reefs, and their wanton destruction.
* Stopping the use of drift nets as a method of fishing. Drift nets denuded the oceans of all marine life that swam into the thousands of miles covered by these nets.
* Exposing the cruel and unnecessary slaughter of marine mammals including whales, porpoises, dolphins and seals. (Ferrel Islands, Japan, Canada, Costa Rica, Sea World)
* Exposing the corruption and ignorance of governments that support the inhumane slaughter and capture of marine life around the globe. (Galapagos Islands)
* Shining an intense light on the urgent need to save and protect the oceans, something that is being done so slowly right now that only10% of much of the bounty of the sea is left.
