#3: Le Chiffre - Casino Royale (2006)

Courtesy of: Eon Productions

Portrayed by Peter Lorre in 1954 (TV adaptation of Fleming’s Novel), Orson Wells 1967 (TV Series) and by Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen in the film version Casino Royale. Deeply sinister and dressing sharply but entirely in black, he has a dead eye that constantly weeps tears of blood, his actions sometimes reek of desperation. But he’s dangerous, and all he needs to prove it is a wicker chair and some rope. A villain indeed!

Villain’s best quote:

Steven Obanno: “Do you believe in God, Mr LeChiffre?”

LeChiffre: “No. I believe in a reasonable rate of return.”

Le Chiffre: “You really aren’t going to tell me, are you?”

Bond: “No, no.”

Le Chiffre: “So I think … (Kicks Bond’s chair down and takes out his knife.) I’ll feed you what you seem not to value.”

Other quotes:

Bond[laughing - after being struck five times with a knotted rope] “Now the whole world’s going to know that you died scratching my balls!”
