Assassin’s Creed III Launch Party & Interview

Posted 11 years ago by myetvmedia

The myETVmedia team arrived on a really stormy night at Ubisoft’s sneak peek and preview launch party for Assassin’s Creed III® in Toronto’s Distillery District. Redcoats with muskets cocked and sporting pretty convincingly scruffy beards guarded the door. The fun was all inside with Assassin’s Creed III®flashing on multiple screens on 2 levels in the Boiler Room and some of the Ubisoft creators on hand to chat about it. We were pretty excited to get a first look and to speak with François Pelland, Senior Producer of Assassin’s Creed 3 and Jill Murray, a scriptwriter for Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation (PS Vita). We would have come just for the game but the food was delicious, fish & chips, gourmet pizza and an assortment of other yummy finger snacks that quickly eased us into the gaming mode.

Once we saw the preview we were dying to get our hands on the game and so first thing today we did just that today. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed III, was just released in stores today for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.  Do you even need to ask if the $59.99 will be well spent!

Another first for the franchise, Assassin’s Creed® has extended its full universe to a handheld system with Assassin’s Creed III® Liberation.  Liberation offers a unique experience exclusively on the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system, Assassin’s Creed III Liberation is rated M for Mature and is slightly less at $39.99. In Liberation gamers play as the series’ first female protagonist, AvelineAveline is fighting for freedom in 18th-century New Orleans, a city on the brink of a rebellion against the cruel Spanish rulers.

Assassin’s Creed III (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Windows PC), is the first game to take advantage of the new Ubisoft – AnvilNext game engine.Assassin’s Creed III is a game that will have history teachers celebrating. Moving from its traditional European setting to North America, the Assassins will now follow a story set against the backdrop of the American Revolution. The game spans the Revolutionary War, dropping gamers into the scenery of frontier conflict of the late 18th Century. Visuals, graphics, and action are intensely real, perhaps even more so than a movie. The colonial towns and the intense, chaotic, blood soaking battlefields where George Washington’s Continental Army clashed with the British Army are brought to life with incredible intensity.  A new hero, Ratohnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage is introduced. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Players become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date.
