Multiplayer
Not much to say about multiplayer that isn’t a ‘no brainer’. It’s the standard Call Of Duty-esque inspired suite that is perfectly serviceable. It just isn’t anything special and will in no way tempt you way from other multiplayer recent releases like Black Ops 2.
Co-op
While it is a nice addition, the Co-Op is barebones and drops the open nature of the campaign. The Enemy A.I. is very dumbed down and the majority of the experience boils down to a big firefight in a cramped environment. With four players it can be fun but don’t expect it to hold your attention. It does feature its own story, which is kinda nice.

I’m headed to my next mission objective; I’ve stocked my bow, silenced famas, silenced sniper rifle and my trusty colt 45, a stealthy loadout. I’ve commandeered a hang glider to get to high ground and hit the ground a mere few clicks from the enemy base. Just then I notice a band of pirates leading a group of prisoners through the jungle. I silently creep through the brush and arm my bow, planning to take out the pair and free the prisoners. Just before I let my arrow fly a tiger suddenly jumps from a nearby rock face and savagely mauls one of the pirates. The other desperately fires an AK burst at the beast as the prisoners look on in fear. The pirate falls to the tiger’s claws and I spring into action: quickly firing an arrow straight at the tiger’s head. The beast slumps into the jungle grass and dies. The prisoners, now free, offer me money for their rescue. I accept thinking of the riflescope I can now afford in town, but it will have to wait. I continue through the jungle, my mission awaits.
Its this kind of amazing and emergent game-play that makes Far Cry 3 the best shooter and maybe Open World game of the season. Definitely Buy.
