Rife with dissolves, cool montages and hilarious timing from Gosling this film has set the bar high for this year’s festival. It already picked up an award for “Best Direction” at Cannes, and I believe that to be the first of many for Refn. I suspect this will not do well in the box office because of the violence but I hope I am proved wrong. I highly recommend, “Drive” (2011) for one hell of a good time. When I left the theatre all I could say was “HOLY S__T!” Like the passengers accompanying Gosling, my adrenaline is still pumping.
