Golnaz Ashtiani is the creative power behind the Ashtiani Fashion label founded in 2011. Ashtiani has quickly picked up awards, publicity and an international following for her unique, classically styled, modern fashion line. A graduate of London College of Fashion, Golnaz is charming and lovely herself. We joined her behind the scenes preparing for WMCFashionWeek 2012 in Toronto, Canada. She was deep in the process of selecting the right model for each of her S/S’13 runway looks.

Her meticulous attention to detail makes her fashion pieces stand out. The precision cutting, impeccable tailoring and surprising mixture of fabrics create a modern silhouette with an elegance reminiscent of another era. No wonder Ashtiani has become a favourite label for British celebs like Cheryl Cole and is carried byWolf & Badger of London’s fashionable Notting Hill, Mayfair and Porto Montenegro.  Wolf & Badger is the home of independent fashion, unique jewellery and emerging British fashion design.

In December, 2012 Ashtiani announced their participation with The Label Line to facilitate international purchase and shipping of their fashions. Ashtiani is featured in major Canadian Fashion magazines and online including Flare Magazine’s January 2013 issue. The great feature of the Ashtiani fashions are their elegance and comfort, in styles that are flattering and versatile. And oh we so love the palette of colours and textures.

The new Spring/Summer’13 line up has shiny ‘pleather’, see through metallic fabrics that shimmer, geometric cuts, zipper tops and jackets, vests, skirts that hug the hips and others that have a flounce. The colour palette moves through pale blue, royal blue, navy blue, salmon pink, mauve, white, pastel grey, black and silver. Some in monochromatic themes and others in geometric colour combinations that are smart and sexy. Look at the line up from the WMCFW Spring/Summer ’13 runway and tell me if you would not just love to have a few Ashtiani fashion pieces in your wardrobe.
