Pavoni have been the talk of the town ever since their mind blowing Spring/ Summer 2013 runway show that closed off the opening night of last October’s WMCFashion Week in Toronto, Canada. Celebrities just can’t get enough of their dream-like designs. Nelly Furtado wore them to the Latin Grammy Awards and Mariah Carey donned four of their stunning gowns on the Australian leg of her latest tour. Toronto fans can rejoice now as Pavoni is carried exclusively at Holt Renfrew in Canada.
myETVmedia was delighted to meet the Montreal design team, Mike Derderian and Gianni Falcone, creators of Pavoni and see the designers in action as they prepared for the runway show. Mike Derderian and Gianni Falcone have known each other since they were quite young. While one is a dreamer, the other brings reality into play. Their couture creations are both elegantly fantastical, haute couture and wearable. They truly inspire and encourage each other’s creative abilities and back it up with hard work and excellent business savvy. Pavoni is available through 30 of the most exclusive international retailers.
A luxurious Versailles inspired look was behind the WMCFashionWeek S/S 2013 Pavoni collection. Pavoni mode
The ‘Pavoni woman’ is described by the Montreal design duo behind PAVONI, Gianni Falcone and Mike Derderian, as “delicate, yet strong, opulent… dignified”. We saw just that in their luxurious S/S’13 collection. The evening began with high- end runway collections from Canadian retailer/designer Holt Renfrew and Pink Tartan. Pavoni rose superbly to the occasion of crowning the opening night finale with something truly spectacular. They have secured this highly coveted time slot for the past two years and it’s truly set the precedence that Pavoni are leaders, not followers in the world of fashion. A relative newcomer as a design house, Pavoni has made a huge international mark in European and Asia and has become a favorite of celebrities and A-listers. They have just released their new S/S’13 Look Book and it is sensational.
