TIFF Party Like a Movie Star

TIFF is world renowned for its films, but what it is equally synonymous with are PARTIES. After all a party doesn’t get much better than when packed with A-list celebs, tasty appies, feature cocktails (was a big fan of last year’s citrus-y SKYY Vodka ‘White Knightley’, maybe too big a fan…). So to help you navigate the many must do’s over the coming ten days of movie goer bliss, here are some highlights:

TIFF 2013 Gala

This second annual meeting of TIFF’s highest rollers, this year the fundraiser will celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema with famed Indian-Canadian director taking the organizational reigns of the event. Taking place September 7th at the Four Seasons Center for the Performing Arts, tables are a meer $25,000. See you there.

The Suite

If you’re fancy and important this is the place to go. Kelly Claman Company and the Stylist Box in partnership with Chloe Magazine and CANFAR will get you red-carpet-ready in this designer packed style lounge. Providing actors, producers and television personalities clothing to borrow for their special appearances, as well as styling, makeup and hair services. Designers featured include: Lucian Matis, Andrew Majtenyi, Whitney Eve, Wren, Hilary MacMillan, Love Zooey, I’Moniq, Kara Ross and more. Running from Sept. 4- 7th.

Enemy After Party

Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Sarah Gadon and Isabella Rossellini the film Enemy makes its World Premiere at TIFF – September 8th Chase Restaurant will host the after party.

TIFF 2013 Hlibka Entertainment Exclusive Party

Sept. 5 , 8 – 10:30

The Hlibka Entertainment party was held September 5th, 8pm at Paese Restaurant. In attendance were: cast and crew from Hlibka Entertainment productions: Headcase, No Boys Allowed, Burlesque Stripped Bare, The Date, and New Year. The evening also featured an art exhibition from Jonathan Hlibka.

Filthy Gorgeous After Party

The after party for the world premiere of Filthy Gorgeous, the story of Penthouse Magazine’s founder, will be held at CUBE nightclub on September 9th. Let your imagination run wild on what kind of entertainment this party might boast.

Arts and Crafts Festival Music House

This invite-only concert series for the TIFF insider industry crowd will feature acts by Dragonette, Diamond Rings, The Darcys and Maylee Todd. September 8th and 9th this year the Festival Music House will be held at Adelaide Hall.

The Inspiration Gala

This black tie AIDS benefit features a dinner, performance by Gossip, and live auction. VIP in attendance and presenter: Marc Jacobs—Louis Vuitton fans contain yourselves. Held at the the Carlu on September 8th, tables are between $10,000 and $100,000, with single plates between $1,000 and $10,000.

Tastemakers Gifting Lounge

The eco conscious, local product lover will be in heaven here. Packed with environmentally friendly Canadian products the Tastemakers Lounge at the Intercontinental Hotel will insure no celebrity misses out on some of Canada’s marquis brands. Everything from festival survival essentials like AWAKE Chocolate, Bobble water bottles, ONE Coconut water to thoughtful gifts like uKloo, a great learning game parents can play with their kids.

BAJA International Film Fest Reception

Sunday September 8th the BAJA International Film Festival Los Cabos is holding a cocktail reception at Milagro Mexican Cantina where they will be announcing the Canadian films to screen at BIFF.

RealTVfilms Social Media Lodge

Open September 7th – 8th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m at the Cinema Tower Showroom, and will offer guests makeup, cocktails, snacks and all sorts of other goodies while they tweet to their hearts content.
