The Ides of March
Ides of March is a movie about morality. George Clooney is Governor Mike Morris who is running in the forthcoming US Democratic Primary. His naive and idealistic press secretary is Stephen Myers (Ryan Gosling) who discovers that life is not what he had expected and he will be forced to examine his own value system and decide how far one can go in achieving the end that was originally the goal. A high power cast including Paul Giamatti, Philip Hoffman Seymour, Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei help set the stage for a highly charged entertaining and provocative look at our modern social systems.
