Three best friends got together to make health and fitness videos on youtube. They decided to include an Easter egg in some early videos, just for fun. Every now and then, the Slender Man (of Marblehornets fame) appears in the background, just enough to catch your attention, but rarely actually interacting with the cast. Then the actual Slender Man (and his friends) showed up.

Three years, 15 bodies and a dog later, and everyone involved has learned a very sharp lesson about playing pranks. Taking place across youtube, twitter, tumblr and even the real world, the story of Alex, Vince and Evan descends into madness, misery and murder, with house invasion, demonic possession, cannibalism and immolation occurring with disturbing regularity. The series has apparently entered the final act, so get cracking. It crosses over with two Slender series, Tribe Twelve and Dark Harvest, but you don’t need to watch those to keep up.
