June is officially here and what does it mean? That the one important event, the one we were waiting for so long is starting this weekend. The NXNE Festival kicks off on Sunday June 10th and so we thought that you should be prepared, so here are our survival tips for you.

First of all, you need to be Prepared, so plan your day in advance. If you’re attending more than one event in one day; you need to know how to get from one place to another. Do you need to take a bus or a streetcar? How long is it going to take you to get there? Transportation is a really important factor if you want to catch all the fun and not to be worried about time. The next important thing is weather, which can also “water” your plans, especially if you’re attending an event under open skies. Whether it’s going to be hot and sunny or chilly and wet you should be prepared, but still you never knows and a small umbrella in your backpack won’t be an unnecessary. There will probably be ATMs, but still it’s better to have cash with you.

Staying hydrated is very important, especially if you are going to be on a run the whole day. It’s up to you if you’re going to take a bottles or a refilling container, but water is a must in your backpack list. So drink plenty of water and have it with you at all times. Dress accordingly to an event that you’re going to, and again, check the weather forecast a day before, so you would know what to wear. If it’s going to be rainy: waterproofs and warm clothing are essential, even if the day was warm, the temperature still drops at night. If the weather promises to be warm and sunny, you should have sunglasses and hat with you, so you won’t get sunstroke. Because you have to walk a lot it’s better to put comfortable shoes on, sneakers or keds for guys and flats for girls will do.

The last, but not least, If you’re going to a Festival with your friends, stick together and have an arranged meeting spot and time, so they would know where and when to find you, in case you get separated.
