Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the eighth game in the Call of Duty franchise and will be available for PC, Nintendo DS, PS3, and Xbox360. Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software will assist in the single and multiplayer aspects of the anticipated FPS. On May 23rd, Infinity Ward released the first game play trailer, and it looks incredible. Similarly to the previous two Modern Warfare games, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set in modern time. The game follows directly after the second game, so you can expect the surviving characters of Modern Warfare 2 to be your team as you’re thrown into a world of war.
The game locations look amazing; from America and England, to France and Germany, engage in incredible stealth missions, car chases, air battles, and full on combat. From the trailer, the game play already looks unbelievable. Expect a ton of missiles, bombs, and grenades coming your way. The world is in a state of chaos. Subway trains are flying past you as you try to drive through the underground tunnels. The graphics and sound in the trailer are intense and reflect the gravity of the situation in the new installment of this growing franchise.
The game developers and publishers are hoping to exceed their cumulative score of 94% on Metacritic for Modern Warfare 2 with 95%+ for the final Modern Warfare of the trilogy. The second game got a lot of praise for its multiplayer option, and Raven Software is hoping to surpass its predecessor. The game will feature 20 multiplayer maps. Also, there will be a Survival mode. Similar to Horde mode, you must watch your back and take down packs of enemies coming at you from all directions.
