Destiny - begins on Xbox 360 and Xbox 720 before releasing on PC and PlayStation 4 – Late 2013
What the critics say:
“Harold Ryan, President of Bungie further added “Destiny is being developed for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, with both versions available at Destiny‘s launch. Destiny will also feature exclusive in-game content, only available on PlayStation.”
Michael Venables – Forbes
Publisher: Activision-Blizzard. What do we know about Destiny? Well, not much, except “Destiny” (a codename) will be the first none “Halo” game developer Bungie has made in over 10 years. Given the company’s pedigree, every gamer will want to see what is up their sleeve. So far the studio has been keeping its cards close to its chest. I have no reservations saying that Destiny’s science fiction MMO shooter gameplay will be executed with style.
We know that Activision, publisher of one of the other most popular shooter franchises of all time (Call of Duty), has a ten-year, four-game plan for the franchise. And we know that it’s likely going to be one of the most important games of the year. When it comes to actual details, rumors set Destiny on Earth, where humanity’s last city is under assault by aliens. Players are sworn to defend the city, but they’re not alone; the crumbling world is protected by a mysterious alien ship known only as “The Traveler” that hovers like a moon around the planet. Will it play like Halo? We can’t wait to find out.
