myEtvmedia brings you behind the scenes at the Sony Playstation’s “Meet the Vita” exclusive launch event. Sony introduced Playstation’s newest handheld gaming device- the PS VITA. Not only did we get to play some of the most anticipated (and coolest releases) for the ‘Vita’ but we also got a chance to talk with some of the biggest game developers about what’s hot for this game changing ( pun intended) handheld device.

PS Vita changes and revolutionizes the handheld gaming experience with dual analog sticks, front and rear multi touch pads, motion sensors, and front and rear cameras, making this device more appealing to hardcore gamers. Some of the biggest releases for the year including : “Uncharted: Golden Abyss”, “Army Corps of Hell”, and ‘Vita’ functionality show-caser “Escape Plan” were there for our demoing pleasure and we were able to witness first hand the remote cross platform play with the Playstation console, as well as the ‘Vita’s’ Netflix capability.

Yes, Netflix on your handheld, what could be better? We had a chance to talk to Sega about Virtua Tennis 4. Ubisoft was there to tell us all about their latest lineup including fan favourite puzzle game,Lumines and Michael Jackson: The Experience.

The end of the event wrapped up in a geek out fashion with Mortal Kombat creator, Ed Boon and Warner Bros gaming telling us about the amazing Vita enhanced port of Mortal Kombat. (Stay tuned for our interview with Ed Boon) Mat Levitan from Playstation gave us the scoop on latest releases, Vita’s functionality and how the latest handheld device is really revolutionising handheld game play.
