Art Deco
The Great Gatsby may not hit theatres until May but we’re feeling the Art Deco influences from the 1920’s already. Rich colours, bold geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation is the name of the game here. Look for pieces that have crystal embellishment, ‘pops of colour’ against metal and pieces that speak to you. Since these are statement pieces use sparingly at first.

Pops of Colour
One of our favourite trends of the season is the return of the head to toe singular colour. Bring on the ‘red on red’, ‘green on green’, or ‘prints on prints on prints’. When rocking a head to toe look like this it’s best to leave something “undone” to create an air of ease to your outfit: Keep hair loose, makeup neutral and styling to a minimum to avoid looking like you belong on an episode of Dynasty.

Statement Dress/wardrobe Piece
Everyone knows that The LBD is a must have in your holiday outfit rotation. We’d like to add a new staple to that list. The Little Statement Dress. This can appear in the form of a black dress in an unexpected silhouette, a simple silhouette in a bold print or a splash of colour. The great thing about the Little Statement Dress is that everything else goes minimal to balance the boldness of the dress. If you’re in a rush throw on your L.S.D and slick your hair into a low pony-tail and you’re good to go.
