Gamers Perspective: Xbox One Policy Changes

They would have been better off proving the worth of the DRM by attracting developers that wanted their content controlled better, by offering updates through the 24 hour sync process, by basically proving that despite the negatives there are many other positives to their policies. By proving that because of their policies that things like Halo TV can exist because it gives content producers the confidence they need to publish on a platform like the Xbox One. If they wanted to pull back their policies then it should have been more gradual and spun in a more positive light. By changing their policies they have undoubtedly won some praise but they have also only further antagonized people. Sony gave their consumer choice even if it was the illusion of choice it still was a choice and Microsoft needs to learn that is exactly why consumers over reacted.

Next week they should change the name of the console to Xbox 180 give it a $100 price drop and announce that Kinect isn’t always on, you can buy the console without Kinect (thank you reddit for that joke) then they may be able to catch up to PS4 and Sony.

Agree/Disagree with me? Do you think Microsoft made the right move or will this end up hurting some the partnership agreements they have created? Follow Gamzo on twitter and let us know what you think about the Xbox One’s DRM.
