Did we mention how amazing the writing on Game of Thrones is? This scene between Tyrion and Bronn is a real gem and it’s slow pacing is a great build up to the fast paced action of the following episode.

Although all of the writing in the series is usually heavy and drama filled there are sprinkles of humor amongst the high tension. Also all of the siege’s preparations are highly realistic and despite the magic and dragons we see how rooted in history and reality GOT is.

A good old fashion siege can still shake things up.

Number 5: “Give a name, any name”

Ok, so obviously as the season progresses the tension builds up, the stakes get raised and the episodes get chalk-full of moments that we RAVED about.

Episode 8 was just too good to pick one moment from, especially when looking at this moment between Arya and Jaqen H’ghar.

The character of Jaqen has been shrouded in mystery all season long. When Arya names him (Jaqen) as her final death toll and we see by his response how deeply he is bonded to his word. It makes us all the more curious about this weird, silent killer and how he will play into the plot in later seasons.

Number 6: “ I don’t want to marry the Fray girl”

It’s always interesting to see what the writers come up with when deviating from the novels.

The relationship between Robb and Lady Talisa, (who was renamed from the books where she is called Jane Poole,) is only mentioned in the novels so the scene where the two admit their feelings for one another was completely crafted for the purpose of the television show and we think it blends in perfectly.

In a world where wars, killing and treachery are always abundant we’re real suckers for moments of pure and innocent love.

Also, we couldn’t stop quoting Robb Stark and we’re in the process of making “ I don’t want to marry the Fray girl” into a internet meme sensation.
