Kill Bill: Vol. 1., 2003; edited version rated R for strong bloody violence, language and some sexual content. Quentin Tarantino took the film world by storm with this mystery thriller about a team of assassins called DIVAS. The movie portrays females in a very violent role and showed them to be capable of very violent actions.

Pulp Fiction; 1994, edited version rated R for strong graphic violence and drug use, pervasive strong language and some sexuality. This Quentin Tarantino movie starring John Travolta, Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson pushed the boundaries by portraying very violent relationships with a degree of humour and rich dialogue. Nominated for 7 Oscars including Best Picture, Tarantino and Avary won Best Original Screen Play and the picture won the Palm d’Or.
