World MasterCard Fashion Week, March 18th to the 22nd will be 5 glorious days of non-stop fashion and fashion buzz under the big white tent at David Pecaut Square, Toronto. 5 days of streetstyle, 5 days of after parties and 5 days to rub shoulders with some of Canada’s fashion influencers and elite. So with all this fab 5 fun going on we couldn’t resist making our list of 5 fabulous collections to start your list with this World MasterCard Fashion Week. DAY ONE: Monday March 18th

Chloe Comme Parris 6:30pm & Pink Tartan 7:30pm

Opening night, Monday March 18th will sizzle with uber street-wear cool, Chloe Comme Parris at 6:30pm and uptown sportswear brand, Pink Tartan at 7:30pm.With polar opposite style aesthetics expect to see the best of both downtown/uptown styling and trends. Chloe Comme Parris’ take on fusing historical design elements will send looks down the runway inspired by the prevailing 90’s grunge trend. Look for delicate ‘moth-eaten’ fabrics paired with ripped jeans, flannel and all velvet ensembles. For those into a more polished collection, Pink Tartan will be showcasing a flawless line, no doubt inspired by Fall’s trends of clean, contemporary lines and classic 50’s silhouettes.

DAY TWO: Tuesday March 19th 

Sid Neigum 9pm

Toronto based designer designer Sid Neigum, Toronto’s Prince of Cool will be showing his Fall 2013 collection at 9pm on the Runway. Being a member of Toronto’s fashion hub, The Collections is synonymous with ultra cool aesthetic and uber trend worthy style. Sid is New York trained and having won Toronto Fashion Incubator’s New Label Award in 2012 he is quickly moving up the ranks of the fashion elite. His fashions have been sported by EDM royalty including Azari & III andBoyz Noize. Expect to see luxe leathers, dark everything and of course edgy cool aesthetics.

DAY THREE: Wednesday March 20th

 Joe Fresh, 9pm

Internationally acclaimed, mega label Joe Fresh should be on your list for Wednesday evening. His popup store in LA, March 8th to 10th attended by celebs includingKate Mara launched the new Joe Fresh collaboration with US retail giant JCPenny.  Affordable fashion, appealing to all ages, the Joe Fresh label can’t be stopped. Expect extremely on-trend looks that will undoubtedly take us into the clean, contemporary 50’s silhouette that Fall is going to be all about. Last season we were treated to legendary Pat Cleveland strutting down the runway to an ultra 60’s theme so excuse us if we’re a little giddy for what JF’s got next for us.

DAY FOUR: Thursday March 21st

Vawk, 8pm

If Sunny Fong’s sexy, stylized Spring/Summer 13 double hitter shows of Vawk and Vawkkin were any indication of what’s to come, expect to be blown away with his Fall 2013 ready-to-wear Vawk runway collection. With an aesthetic centered on modern femininity expect theatrical show- stopping gowns worthy of a red carpet with a mix of separates with classic sensibilities.

DAY FIVE: Friday March 22nd

 Pavoni, 8pm

If you’re searching for a show to take your breath away this will do it. Drama and elegance – look no further than Pavoni, Friday evening. Pavoni is already a favourite of mega stars like Mariah Carey. The Pavoni fashion label has quickly established a name worldwide that is synonymous with high luxury and superior taste. I simply call it decadent. Their Spring/Summer ‘13 collection was inspired by Versailles so prepare to see a Fall 2013 collection worthy of princesses and fairy tales, with keen attention to detail. Look for luxurious gowns and dresses reminiscent of Elie Saab and Marchesa on the runway.
