There are about 28 movies made of Salome, Pacino took a decidedly modern approach to the telling of the story. He wanted to try something new and by interjecting Oscar Wilde’s life to see how far he could go, to find a balance between now and a hundred plus years ago. Wilde Salome tries to reveal this man Wilde, who was this very liberal thinker and visionary in terms of his feelings for people, during a very dangerous time in Victorian England.
