Iconic is the word that comes to mind when talking about Audrey Napoleon. Simply put, this DJ/ Producer would be the glorious outcome if Marilyn Manson and Madonna had a electro house love child. She’s got superstardom in her DNA. Her sound is energetic, eccentric, hard hitting, in your face and somewhat pop -styled at times – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Audrey Napoleon may have only released her first single in 2010, but after holding down a residency at the legendary nightclub Avalon Hollywood; sharing the stage with huge acts like Deadmau5, Avicii and Umek; touring the globe; becoming the first spokesperson for Heineken and just dropping her EP “Ornamental Egos” all in 6-inch platform heels – we’d say Audrey Napoleon is a force behind the decks.

As a whole Audrey Napoleon’s performances, videos and fashion fuse into an integral part of her music package. Here is the progeny of romanticism, goth, techno and glamour; A sexy combination of dark images and high powered performance this musician is already lined up for superstardom.

Fashionista coveted style? Check.

Impressive EP that’s ready to compete with the heavy hitters? Check, double Check.

Fashion line? Check. Modeling career? CHECK!

All she’s missing are the aerial silk performers and her own fragrance line.

Gearing up for my interview with Audrey Napoleon at Identity Fest I poured over articles depicting her as the “Queen McQueen” ;The Lady Gaga of the Electro world; Morticia Addams with turntables; and I sh@# you not, I was intimidated. That fear melted away as soon as I met the rising star and I was pleasantly surprised by her sweet demeanor and massively humble outlook on the “Audrey Napoleon” universe she’s creating around her.

“I’m a fan, I started out as a fan and I’ll always be a fan so when i get to go up there and play what I love to listen to and dance to it’s just really amazing. I’ve cried on stage, it’s just a blessing. It’s such a trip.”

Napoleon’s new EP “Ornamental Egos”, named after her signature style, dropped on June 24 and has been blasting through my headphones on a continuous repeat ever since. Featuring tracks like the playful electro-house track, “Bitchy Queen”; hands in the air, head boppin’, stomper “Carlos Martinez”; her latest club banger “ Poison”; and her hit “#MySunrise” (featured in the latest Heineken commercial) this album is what every dancefloor has been begging for. Something fun, hard, sing-along-sweat dripping-dance-till-you-drop-hotness. This full roster of hits is sure to seriously f@*# up dancefloors across the globe and make Audrey Napoleon a household name.
