HUGO 3D Animated Adventure Movie
HUGO directed by Martin Scorsese and based on the New York Tmes best-seller, “The Invention of Hugo Cabret”, by Brian Selznick is a magical, heartwarming adventure story of a young boy on a quest. Hugo must unlock the secret that his father has left him and in doing so will reveal the place he can call home.
Everything about this film is unusual. It is Scorsese’s first adventure into filming in 3D and tackling an animated children’s story.
The screenplay is by Tony Award-wining dramatist and Academy Award – nominated screenwriter John Logan. Logan’s extraordinary ability to capture the voice and spirit of this characters on screen have thrilled audiences around the world and earned a worldwide box office of nearly $2 billion.
Graham King (Producer) has worked with Scorsese before on “The Departed” which won an Oscar for Best Picture. He has also produced the Howard Hughes biopic “The Aviator”, which won a BAFTA for Best Picture and an Oscar nomination.
Tim Headington (Producer) has produced “The Rum Diary”, “The Tourist”, “Rango”, and among other films the Academy Award nominated romantic drama “The Young Victoria”. He and Graham King also produced Angelina Jolie’s first film as director, releasing this December, “ The Land of Blood and Honey”.
The list of filmmakers who helped produce this movie includes Johnny Depp, well loved for his portrayal of many iconic imaginary characters such as Jack Sparrow and Edward Scissor Hands.
There is an impressive cast including Ben Kingsley (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Shutter Island, The House of Sand & Fog), Sacha Baron Cohen (The Wolfman), Chloe Grace Moretz (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Ray Winstone (Rango), Emily Mortimer (Shutter Island), Helen McMcrory (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1&2) and Christopher Lee (The Lord of The Rings trilogy).
This magical tale will sweep you away into a world of pure fantasy with all the power that excellent story telling and filmmaking can hope to do.
