Since this is a summer block buster with high action, hunks, beautiful girls and sci fi, Transformers fits the bill perfectly. This movie has plenty of huge robots on missions of destruction is 3D technicolor taking everything out in their way. The sheer quality of the intense 3D technology CGI for these scenes will leave you mesmerized. The rest of the movie is really only a vehicle to support all this. The story line is summed up in one sentence ” The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets.” Shia LaBeouf (Sam Witwicky) and his autobot friends do their best to help Sentinel Prime, captain of the Ark, the original Autobot escape ship, to secure the key technology that he alone has that might completely destroy Earth or reshape the Transformers home. Director Michael Bay had a wonderful time with the $195,000.00 budget for this film which may sound exorbitant but most of the money came back in the first week. CGI has taken over the cinema.
