The R rating for this movie is totally appropriate due to the mature and graphic nature of the story. However, this should not deter anyone with a mature mind, a love of great cinema and crime thrillers (with a somewhat chilling and journalistic resemblance to real events) from choosing “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” for a great night out at the movies. Additional note: Ridley Scott immediately chose Noomi Rapace for a lead role in his forthcoming blockbuster ‘Prometheus’ the prequel to ‘Alien’ after seeing her performance in “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”. Scott said he felt “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” was one of the best movies to come out in a while. He was of course referring to the Swedish version and I feel that the Fincher version is even stronger.
