We need films like this to remind us that Zombie movies don’t have to be doom and gloom, that a zombie apocalypse is first and foremost a ridiculous genre vehicle that empowers the relatable and entertaining elements of characters from all walks of life. If the serious tone and setting of so many apocalyptic scenarios has been getting you down you might want to follow up on this one; it looks like a whole lot of fun. Dead Before Dawn is the first wholly Canadian film in 3D and for an indie production it screams of Cult-Hit quality.
