2010 – accepts position with MuchMusic as Fashion Correspondent
2010 – at 18 accepts offer to show his F/W 2010 Collection at Vancouver Fashion Show
2010 – shows his collection at the National Gallery of Canada Ottawa Fashion Week
2010 – Adrian Wu meets designer & Project Runway Canada judge Shawn Hewson through his Alumni Association of Hillfield Strathallan College; Hewson becomes his mentor for a year
2010 – Adrian gets first commercial commission and collaborates with Allan Candy to create dresses out of candy wrappers for an online ad.
2011 – Prestel publishes Style Diaries distributed in 50 countries featuring Adrian Wu as the 18-year old boy who modeled his own dresses (the hairy legs).
2011- R&B singer Keisha Chante models Adrian Wu’s dress in Dare to Wear Love Fashion Show (supporting the Stephen Lewis Foundation).
2011 – Textile Museum of Canada features Adrian Wu’s work in its first Fashion Exhibit
2011 – Wu reveals his “Hierarchy of Needs” F/W 2012 collection with models in Guy Fawkes masks (signature of Anonymous) causing more controversy.
2012 – Wu’s Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion Week suggestive collection “Creatures of the Photons” creates controversy for its sexual overtones
2012 – Margaret Atwood collaborates with Wu for the Book Lovers Ball and shows the S/S 2012 to great acclaim.
2012 – international stars & celebrities sport Adrian Wu’s fashions
2012 – Adrian designs the Tutu for the 60th Anniversary of the National Ballet of Canada
2012 – Adrian gets 2nd commercial commission with Cashmere (Cottonelle toilet paper) to design a dress out of toilet paper.
2012 – Adrian Wu nominated the “Official social influencer of 2012” by Perrier
Adrian Wu has produced over 15 collections in just 2 years. We can be quite sure that this young luminary/entrepreneur has many more to surprise us with.
