Every January  the City of Montreal has for the last 6 years become a winter music fest extravaganza. Igloofest, the outdoor winter wonderland party, featuring some of the world’s hottest, most talented DJs hit the stages for 3 big weekends. Awe inspiring lightshows, and bumpin’ beats so hot the ice sculptures sweat and nobody cares if it is minus 20 degrees.  MyEtvmedia was front row for all the excitement. This year’s lineup was electrifying. The fans were great, totally into the music, the mood and the experience. Featuring Marcel Dettman, Azealia Banks’ Tour DJ- DJ Cosmo, A-Trak, Tiga,Black Tiger Sex Machine, Pearson Sound, Diplo, Nautiluss, and recent Toronto acts, Boomclap Soundcrew and French Fries, to name a few.

The remix’s covered across all genres from electro ‘bangers’ to RnB, and hip-hop to drum n’ bass, dub-step and even grunge.  DJs played everything from crowd favourites ‘Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Heads will Roll‘ to tributes to the late Etta James and you best believe the dance floor was packed every night! A record number of partyers came to the three sold out weekends. If you missed out don’t despair, we predict next year to be even bigger and better.
