‘Act of Valor’ – The Film is the Real Deal – Feb 24th Release Date

This is one of the action films of THE year with the screenplay by Kurt Johnstad, starring Alex Veadov, Roselyn Sanchez, Nestor Serrano, Emilio Rivera as well as the real Navy SEALS themselves. The film is shot on location in Cambodia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Ukraine, Florida and San Diego.

Whether you are a Battlefield or a COD fan or just love a great high action drama with true to life military detail you will want to see “Act of Valor” the new film from directors/producers Mike McCoy & Scott Waugh. They have had a remarkable journey in the making of this highly anticipated film.

When McCoy and Waugh conceived the idea for a modern day action movie about a covert and elite fighting force they brought real navy Seals on as advisors. As Act of Valor developed the filmmakers quickly realized that no actors could realistically portray or physically fill the roles they’d written. They asked the SEALS if they would step into the film for the roles of the real SEALS and the so actual SEALs became the actors and focus of the film. None of the SEALs’ names will appear in the credits of the film.

Is Act of Valor for gamers?

The trailer for the film ‘Act of Valor’ is featured on Battlefield 3’s official website. Both the film and Battlefield share the same audience, those interested in attention to realistic action, weaponry and all things militia. Video Game Writers have teamed up with EA and Relativity Media to help promote the upcoming “Act of Valor,” a film starring and based around actual U.S. Navy Seal missions. To help the cause, EA and Relativity Media are “giving away 50 PS3 codes for the Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand DLC pack just for watching”.

Another noticeable wink to gamers lies within the film itself since most actors are SEALs and the director’s total devotion is to realism when it comes to weapons and tactics. Multiplayers are going to be in heavenIt will be like in COD where Spec Ops missions feature a variety of missions where environments are extremely detailed. Again the directors covered that angle of realism by filming inCambodia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Ukraine, Florida and San Diego.  The crew filmed at Navy training sites to provide realistic settings, such as a drug cartel base, a terrorist camp on an isolated island, and a smuggler’s yacht.
